ACTIVITIES

The Interparliamentary Club and the on-line magazine “ EU Parliaments”

are designed as active points of intersection of exchange of opinions, analyses, direct dialogue among the representatives of the European and national legislative powers, and, of course, a center where the European citizens can express their views on the further deepening of the process of the European integration especially under the light of the changes introduced by the Lisbon Treaty.

  We would like to pay special attention to the reinforced role of the national parliaments and the European parliament in the framework of the European legislative process. This is the reason for us to launch the preparatory work for the organisation of the conference “ The future of the Europe for citizens”.

  We’ll try to introduce new forms of contacts with the citizens as for exemple “ Talking to..”, inviting to a friendly conversation MEP’s, leading political scientists, national MP’s on issues directly linked to the EU.

  We’ll consider the creation of a circle of the friends of the Club and of the magazine where  the most  burning issues concerning Europe like the Common Foreign policy, the solidary fight against the consequences of the economic crisis, the strategies for developpment of the EU till 2020 etc.will be dicussed, as a serious succes.

Following the example of similar initiatives we’ll try to set up a prize for young people in order to encourage their participation in the European discussions and their contribution for the full transformation of the EU in an Union close to the citizens.
